Explore “Industry 4.0” with EPCM in CoatingsTech Conference webcast

“The fourth industrial revolution is underway – an era in which safety will become synonymous with success,” says EPCM Engineering General Manager, Daniel Chaplin.
On June 29, 2021 at 3:00pm ET, as part of the American Coating Association (ACA) CoatingsTech Conference, Chaplin will present a talk about Industry 4.0 – unpacking the meanings and implications behind the buzzword.
“When we say Industry 4.0, what we’re talking about is turning data into meaningful action,” says Chaplin, whose talk at CoatingsTech is titled Delivering the Future of Coatings Manufacturing through Smart Information Processing: Industry 4.0.
“Through understanding data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, you can change human actions to improve safety and efficiency, which improves overall success.”
Chaplin’s talk, delivered virtually due to pandemic restrictions, will share some real-world examples of how EPCM devised novel solutions to challenges posed in the mining, energy and chemical industries.
During his ACA talk, Chaplin will explore how this industrial revolution will be fueled by the “democratization of data,” which empowers companies, like EPCM, to devise cutting-edge solutions to challenges that could be years or decades old. The goal of Chaplin’s June 29th talk, he says, is to demonstrate how creative thinking can “create innovation in an industry that has been facing stagnation.”
